Does Stephanie Ivie want to put Light Rail on Main?

The Verdict: No

Stephanie Ivie is a first time candidate, however she is on quite a few Centerville City Council Meeting Minutes.  She went on the record in a Centerville City Council meeting as stating that she is against light rail on Main Street.

Does Stephanie Ivie want to raise Centerville property taxes in 2014?

The Verdict: NO

The Facts:  Because Stephanie Ivie is a new candidate, it’s important to look for ways to understand her position.  On her website, she is very fiscally conservative.  Most telling about her position is her associations.  She endorses Lawrence Wright for Mayor, and Lawrence Wright has a position against raising property taxes.  She also has not given a blanket endorsement to the Centerville City Manager who has stated he wants to raise property taxes for Centerville City in fiscal year 2014.  Based on these facts, Stephanie Ivie does not support raising property taxes in Centerville City in 2014.
